Sofía Hernández Chong CUY
(Director, Kunstinstituut Melly)
Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy has been director of the Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam formerly known as Witte de With since 2018. She was previously the curator of contemporary art at Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, which has headquarters in Caracas and New York (2011-2017).
Cuy was director of Museo Tamayo in Mexico City and held curatorial positions in New York at Art in General and Americas Society. She has guest-curated exhibitions for The Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York, KADIST Art Foundation in Paris, MALBA in Buenos Aires, and the Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius, Lithuania and among other places. In 2013, she was artistic director and chief curator of the “9th Bienal do Mercosul,” and she was an agent of “Documenta(13),” 2012 in Kassel.

Takahashi Mizuki was a member of the Mori Art Museum founding staff and curator at the Contemporary Art Center, Art Tower Mito. Moved to Hong Kong in April 2016 for the opening of CHAT. Has held her current position since the end of March, 2017.

Carol Yinghua LU

Carol Yinghua Lu is the director of Beijing Inside-Out Art Museum and a doctoral student in art history at Melbourne University. She is an art critic and the contributing editor of Frieze Magazine. Lu was on the jury for the Golden Lion Award at the “54th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia,” 2011 and a jury member of the Philippine Pavilion at the “16th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia,” 2018. And she is on the jury for “HUGO BOSS ASIA ART” and “Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative”.
She was the co-artistic director of the “Gwangju Biennale 2012” and co-curator of the “7th Shenzhen Sculpture Biennale” in 2012. She had been the artistic director and chief curator of OCAT Shenzhen (2012-2015). She is the first visiting fellow in the Asia-Pacific Fellowship Program at the Tate Research Centre in 2013, and she was among the first recipients of the ARIAH (Association of Research Institute in Art History) East Asia Fellowship in 2017. In collaboration with Liu Ding, she is in the process of researching into the legacy of socialist realism in the practices and discourses of contemporary art in China, entitled “From the Issue of Art to the Issue of Position: Echoes of Socialist Realism.”

Nomura Shino has been senior curator of Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery since 2004.

Washida Meruro was a curator at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa from 1999 to 2018. He was the curator of the Japan Pavilion at the “57th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia,” held in 2017, and was a curator of the “Aichi Triennale 2019.”

Kondo Yuki served as the chief curator of the Aomori Contemporary Art Centre (2001-2017) before taking her current position at Tokyo Arts and Space. As its Program Director, she is responsible for overall planning and operations, including exhibitions, residencies, and other projects. She has planned and implemented solo exhibitions of domestic artists and group exhibitions of domestic and international artists through the artist-in-residence program, as well as exhibitions and community programs utilizing cultural resources by artists.
